Birdy Nerdy

I can't really label myself a birder, but Zac is the bird master, so i fall into it at times. He recently helped me figure out, ahem, all the birds i've ever seen (or as some might call it, their life list, right?). The number ended at I think 352 or so, but that was just off the top of mine and Zac's head, so there are probably a handful more. But anyway, here's some of the more exciting ones:

Colima Warbler
White-headed Woodpecker
California Condor
Lucifer's Hummingbird
Golden-cheeked Warbler (duh)
Black -capped Vireo (duh)
Painted Bunting
Fulvous Whistlening- Duck
Roseate Spoonbill
Elegant Trogon
Sulpur Bellied Flycather
Arizona Woodpecker
Bridled Titmouse
Sedge Wren
Le Contes Sparrow
Evening Grosbeak
White-eared Hummingbird
Flame-colored Tanager
Black Rosy Finch
American Bittern
Least Bittern
White-tailed Hawk
Reddish Egret
Zone-tailed Hawk
Trumpeter Swan

In other animal news, here's some of the fancy pants mammals i've seen the past month or so:

Coyote
Gray Fox
River Otter
Kit Fox
Weasel
Pine Martin
MOUNTAIN LION!
Mule Deer
Elk
Kangaroo Rat
Jack Rabbit (2 kinds)
Cotton Tails
Voles
Skunk
Raccoon
CA Sea Lion
Stellar Sea Lion
Harbor Seal
Porpoise
Pronghorn
Big Horn Sheep
AZ gray squirrel
CA ground squirrel
various Chipmunks
Rock Squirrel
Antelope ground squirrel
Western grey squirrel
Beldings ground squirrel

There are tons of reptiles and amphibians too, but I haven't identified them all yet. But this guy is an Arizona Mud Turtle, and I just about had a nervous break down over his cuteness!!
