This is one of the many White-tailed Kites that hangs out at Fay's Slough, just down the road from us. They seem to flush way too easily so I was pretty happy when this picture came out all right. I took this last week, on an extremely windy day (I lost my hat twice!). I always love seeing these birds, they're so regal looking!This is my first post for Bird Photography Weekly (below) - looks like fun!

thank you! i think he was indeed a little surprised to see me sneak around the tree - it was nice of him to pose for a quick photo!
