Glacial Reflection

This is actually a scanned photograph from my Nikon 75 film camera, so excuse the fuzz factor. I've been trying to organize photos lately (a huge task!) so I've found a bunch of older stuff. Taken while backpacking in St. Elias National Park in Alaska in late 2006. This is a small glacier, a dirty glacier, but still, a pretty glacier with a crystal clear refection. The sky was soooo grey but it matches the ice nicely. Weekend Reflections

Wonderful glacial reflective view! Makes me want to reorganize MY photos to see what might be lurking in my files. My Weekend Reflections are at Happily Retired Gal this week.

No apologies needed. This is an excellent photo. The symmetry of the reflection reminds me of ice crystals.

I actually like the shades of grey in this, Jill. The reflection is pretty cool. I guess those striations are from the grinding of ice rather than simply wind and water erosion.

Very cool shot! I have avoided digitizing my old prints. I should look though them and pick a few to convert.
