In the Cool Light of Morning

Spotted one of the otter families last Thursday at the marsh. They were pretty hidden by vegetation or too far away most of the time, but I got a couple pictures of the cuties. They hung around eating and playing for a couple hours, longer than I've seen them there before. I love seeing the otters- so much fun to watch and they've all got different little personalities. It seems there are a lot of river otters around here, but I've only seen one sea otter. Weekend Reflections and Watery Wednesdsay

I was looking at your blog earlier today. You have wonderful talent. You capture wonderful moments in the natural world. These photos are sweet as can be. I like the birds reflections and the otters, well how do you do that, right place at the right time!

I love all the mirror imaging going on the first pic. But I especially like the otters - to me they're very elusive creatures.

Wow, great shots. I love seeing otters play in the water like that. Unfortunately I've only seen them in someone elses photos.

The second otter shot is great....I think it captures what they're all about. I cant count the number of times Ive been to the marsh, but Ive only seen that group a couple times. Good sighting!

Wonderful photos Jill. I really like the second one. Not easy getting good close shots of birds is it.
