It looks like a flag of Spring. It is raising itself in anticipation of the Equinox, awaiting more sunshine. It will unfurl in full soon!

Thanks, everyone! I saw this hiding behind a bunch of other vegetation and thought I'd better get the picture then...but then a few minutes down the trail, they were popping up everywhere, ha!

It fits all my lenses perfectly, but i'm still getting used to the one shoulder thing (just got the bag a couple months ago)
