Bryce

Bryce Canyon National Park. It's beautiful places, one of the most popular national parks. We are not crowd people, and it was a little too crowded for our taste, so while we didn't backpack but we did do an excellent ~10 mile hike that took us through this section. Until we got to the trailhead, we only passed one other person, awesome. The clouds mixed with that sweet landscape didn't make for a bad scene! The bottom picture is from a different spot somewhere on the trail. Good stuff. Skywatch Friday, Color Carnival

Hi Jill
Bryce Canyon was on my 'to go' list when I was younger, so this is a proper blast from the past. It's more beautiful than the old pictures that fired my imagination.
I'm not sure whether to thank you for those wonderful pictures or not for igniting wanderlust - just joking, the pictures are fantastic and remind me to get round to booking a holiday somewhere a little bit different once our house is finished.

Jill, my husband and I were going to go to Bryce Canyon on our vacation last summer, but we had been traveling so long, that we decided to skip it. I'm so glad you posted these pics....it is beautiful! Now I'm sorry that we missed seeing it in person!

That's the cool thing about some of these parks. Get past the first popular feature and you've got the place to yourselves.

I LOVE Bryce Canyon. I was there one year after visiting the Grand Canyon, which is very grand, but Bryce is spectacular!

thanks for all the comments...Bryce (and everywhere in southern Utah, Northern AZ, for that matter) is worth going to. I miss the desert landscape soooo much right now. Worth going to if you're with in a few hundred miles, for sure!
