Great video. Hope that wasn't a piece of jerky. Some of our ground squirrels have become carnivorous.

His jaws are getting a good workout.
They really are so cute and the golden mantled one is definitely one up on the regular chipmunk.

gotta hurry up, Winter's just around the corner, gotta hurry up, Winter's just around the corner!

It's really enjoying himself.

Not jerky (whew!). I think it was a dried up strawberry :) He dropped it at some point and I checked it out (i was worried it was something really gross, too!) As fast as he was eating it, it seemed to take him forever to finish. So cute!

lol. I think that is strong evidence that, like so many animals, this species lives in a different speed than we do. Like humming birds and starfish. =) I love how despite eating 10,000 mph he never takes his eyes off of you.

I couldn't help but smile at his munching. What a cutie!

I paused it at 23, 24 and 25 seconds to get a look at the HEART he was creating ... you should check it out!

I would like to link this to this week's Guest Heart Thursday ... if you don't want me to, let me know and I will take out the link.

But this is just too cute not to share!!!
