Little Guys on Little Flowers

The butterfly is some sort of checkered skipper. The other guy is another guy. I took these shots around Barker's Pass in the Sierra in early August. I really like the way the butterfly came out...and surprised too - the wind was pretty hefty and the flower was flopping all around like an outta control beast. Thinking I might frame this one, hmmm. They are both beautiful photographs, but I just can't get over my creepy crawly phobia. Yes, butterflies come into that category for me. My critters have to have fur and four legs. But I do know good photography when I see it.

Beautiful shots! Butterflies never stay still long enough for me or else they don't pose prettily like yours! I like the beastie in your second photo, too.

Great shots, both worth framing.

May I ask what camera you use? I know it is the eye that sees the picture but it is the quality of the lens really helps.

Definitely frame-worthy. And the other guy isn't so bad, either. He's very intricate in his coloring and wings. Nice shots, as always.
