On the Road Again

On the road again! Zac and I are driving to West Texas (Big Bend National Park) for about 10 days or so. Quick stop at Aransas National Wildlife Refuge to see a whooping crane or two (yay!) We're pretty pumped about the trip. Loooveee Big Bend and haven't been there for a couple years. Time to get outta the southeast for a little while, yeehaw! Out of blog land for a while, I'll catch up with you guys later! (this cutie is a Ruby-crowned Kinglet)

Very much looking forward to what you see and do at Big Bend. I was on my way there for the first time last year, then aborted the trip while in Utah. Next time hopefully. Have a great journey.

I too can hear the road calling, after the holidays. Plan on visiting Big Bend also. Never been there but have friends that live nearby. Or as nearby as you can get. I look forward to your stories and images for teasers. Happy Holidays!

To quote my out loud response to your travel agenda: "Oh my God I HATE you." SO excited for you. I LOVE Aransas NWR!!! My first whooping cranes and 2nd alligator viewing in the wild experience, plus So Tex. = ROSEATE SPOONBILLS and reddish egrets, so so many amazing things!! One of my favorite sights EVER in So. Tex. was a crested caracara perched on a dead, black wild boar. I almost LOST my mind. Bon bon bon voyage!!! =)

I always liked the beware of aligator sign in Aransas but never saw one. Lovely area to bird, a real nice diversity.

Hope you have a great time! I've been both of those places. :) We spent our honeymoon in Big Bend. We have the International Whooping Crane Foundation up here in WI - you should come up! :)
