LOVE IT! We were in Big Bend last April. Do try and canoe a bit of the Santa Elena canyon if you can. Also, there is some great hiking in the mountains. ENJOY!

The large outcropping leaves a dark shadow. As we float down the water, though, the massive darkness opens up into a lovely and sunny environ. Nicely captured!

I'd love to cool off in that water as my brain starts trickling out of my ears at 42C.

We used to have a 60 acre river=frontage block at Big Bend although that was on the Murray river in South Australia. It had lovely sandstone cliffs and we just kept it as a nature reserve. Had to sell it after the fire to help finance rebuilding.

I look forward to the rest of your Big Bend Adventure.
