So cute. Looks like you were pretty close.

Yes, will go to Big Bend towards the end of March.

The last one looks like a baby. They are cute, but I suspect those horns are to be avoided at all costs.

Rather cute in a slightly dangerous way! Very neat!

As we just got back from the desert southwest, we have been talking about where to take our fall vacation. We were thinking about Glacier in September. Any suggestions you might have would be appreciated!

Aha! love these goats, but am afraid I can't hug them though.

Awww.... as a Capricorn I have a special fondness for my goat brothers and sisters, and particularly adore Mountain Goats! These are beautiful photos of beautiful critters!

Isn't Glacier spectacular? (Glad you could see it while it still has glaciers!) My mom was born and raised in central MT near the Canadian border, and she had to spend summers at a family friend's cabin on Lake McDonald because her allergies were so bad during haying and wheat harvest season. Don't you just feel terribly sorry for her? Yeah, me neither. ;-)

Great shots! It's no wonder we give them human characteristics (anthropromorphism I think it's called) at any rate, the first guy looks like Earl. Not sure why...he just does. :>)

Very nice animal! Great shots ;)

The little ones look so sweet and soft. I would be tempted to give them a hug, not a good idea, though, as mom could inflict great bodily harm on me.

Good grief, are you at a petting zoo? The only mountain goats I have seen were tiny white specks on the side of a mountain, and that was looking through 10x binoculars! Very nice photos!

Jill, This is a crazy question, but have you ever heard of mountain goats being attracted by human urine? I have a friend who had to climb a tree to get away from goats who came rushing at her after she went to the bathroom beside the trail. Finally, some guys came along and lured the goats away by peeing a little distance from her, and then they all high-tailed it out of there. I know this sounds suspect, but I swear it happened!
