Brown-crested Flycatcher

I was going to actually throw some words on this thing but there is a group of grotesquely unruly children in my vicinity and I need to vacate the library area before I snap. So. Here's a Brown-crested Flycatcher instead. Yeah!

Now that was a funny post. I had the same thing happen when I was in the Billy of the Kid museum in New Mexico, except it was the entire family that was grotesquely unruly. They ran me out and after I left I realized I had missed the best part of the display. I had to go back in and they let me in for free after I explained. People!

What a beautiful bird - I'm so sorry you got ran out of the library. I've noticed more and more of that sort of rudeness happening. Sigh. We're raising a generation of monsters.

Then again, if you had snapped and then blogged about it, it would have been highly entertaining (not to mention gratifying) for your readers. Or at least for me, as the grotesquely unruly children at the library sound just like our neighbors. Two sets of them (with 10 kids between them!) Can't even escape that obnoxious, inconsiderate crap when you live 15 miles from town and 5500' up in the least populated state. I agree with Clytie.

But on a happier note, your Flycatchers are beautiful! And make for far superior company than a gaggle of barbarian youngsters.

You have so many great photos in your pursuit of birds and life. This is yet another one.

The flycatcher is a beauty. I can certainly understand wanting to escape the mass of unruly children.

Ah, haven't had to deal with that in a while. I think the last time was way back when I was a noisy rabble at a movie theater. Love your feathered friend here, I just look at him and I have to smile, thanks for that.
