Rusty Blackbirds

I didn't give Rusty Blackbirds enough credit previously. I like these guys. I like 'em a lot. Look at the lady, she's beautiful! I've got too many things to do today - like run and pack (I'm moving to Austin for the field season to give my Golden-cheeked Warbler buddies some more attention). I finally got new running shoes, some of the Merrell barefoot ones, I'm kind of excited about it. Now I skeedaddle. World Bird Wednesday

I like your Rusty Blackbirds, too. Have you read Born to Run (I review it on my sidebar - I think under 2010 books). I'll be interested to know how you like the barefoot runners. PS I'm having difficulty with the new anti spam!

Nice photos of the blackbirds. So far I have not seen any down here in Florida.

Even the blackbirds look great in your photos!
Happy moving to Austin... wave if you pass my corner of the state.

p.s. The saguaro cactus quilt was sprinkled with Swarovski crystals... my point and shoot AND photo skills did not do it justice. It was a favorite in the show.

What a truly funny shot; the first little black one, Jill....: This little fellow seems doing a walk "in deep thoughts"; with his wings tight behind the back...., soooooo cutesocute!!!

Magnificient lovely dark creatures, Jill!!!!!!

Love these and the first image is so cute Jill. I think Merrel shoes and boots are the best...you can run in them first day and never get a rub, or blister...and the barefoot kind...I have been wondering about them. They are supposed to be great for everything.

Great shots! I have seen and photographed them only twice - a rare privilege. I hope their numbers are coming back.
