Baby Gators!

Baby gators!  That's all I got for now. I'm currently on the Texas coast doing a short gig. Not a whole lot of time for play and photos, but managed to snag a few. Love the gator babies. I did come close to falling in the water trying to get these, so much grass and reeds in the way. I have no idea how the camera made it through this. Weekend Reflections

My husband dropped my camera hopping a stream in North Carolina this spring and it was a nightmare! New fan of rice, let me tell ya! Baby gators are adorable...does their mama hang around or are they on their own right away?

oh, my. Those are AMAZING shots. Nicely done!

One of my little known talents is imitating the call of a baby alligator to its mama.

Hm, now that I think about it, it's probably something I should NOT practice outside in, say, Texas or Florida. =)

If there are baby gators around, the big ones can't be far away. These are great shots. That baby is just practicing it's evil look.

Wow!!! I don't think I've ever seen baby gators!!! But if they're like Bears...you don't want to get too close 'cause mama's not far behind!!!

One time we pulled off a road because we saw baby 'gators. (We were on the TX gulf coast that year.) Bill was snapping away when the mama came out of her den and really growled at him! He got a couple pictures of the babies and a very mad-looking mom (once he was back in the car).
