Nice work. Tiny, lovely, famous little bird. =) I have a few shots of amazing sand formations on La Jolla Shores beach that are marred by a small, bright blue piece of plastic. pbthbthbth!

That first image looks like a bird with attitude.

We have a 'Plover' species here at work, and when mowing the turf where they nest, is often fought with swoops by the male bird... Over time though, we could get pretty close without them being to worried...

A very nice couple of photos...

Mines up as well at AussiePomm - A night at Harry's!!!!

Have a great day!!

I see signs on the dunes about Snowy Plover nesting grounds, but never really knew what they were. Guess I thought they were kind of a sand piper, but now I recognized them :)

Nice picture. Plastic waste is a huge issue around the world - even in Tasmania (which has nothing to the south of it except Antarctica) gets plastic wastes.

Beautiful Snowy Plovers, they're such sweeties!

I just love photos of birds like the first one, that taken straight-on make them look like they're mad as hell and aren't going to take it anymore! It would be a fitting expression for the plover in the second photo, whose expression seems more plaintive... "When is someone with opposable thumbs going to please pick up this piece of trash for me?"

It is a pretty bird - looks like it has places to go and things to do!
