Got a whole bunch of rain here today and therefore the birds got pretty soaked, which I always find rather cute. The Carolina Chickadee shakes it off, the Cardinal looks a little bummed, and the White-throated Sparrow just doesn't care. Speaking of birds, I watched two chickadees this afternoon going all out in some courtship behavior. I didn't want to upset them by going out with the camera so I just watched the male feeding the female through the front window. Aww..spring! These photos made me smile, so adorable!
Aww, love the "fluffy" chickadee! The cardinal looks quite disconcerted - what happened to his crest? Poor guy! And you're right, the sparrow looks absolutely no worse for the wear, like those putrid women whose hair still looks great even in the pouring rain. :-)
I'm glad you made that call--sweet. =)
I would guess the degree to which the birds are bummed by rain correlates with the degree to which their handsomeness is lessened. Hence unhappy, crestfallen cardinal, and spiffy, perky chickadee.
Really fun photos. Would make a great collection. =) A chapter in your book o' photos. =)
I agree the birds are very cute with their rain soaked feathers. Great shots.
Ah, a wet feather today. Mine don't seem to mind as long as there is food in the feeders.
Wonderful wild and wet photos!
Oh, poor wet birdies, they do look cute though!
Wow! very cute birds.
Nice birds! Great post!
Great rainy day photos. The chickadee is especially cut all fluffed up like that.
They always look so ruffled in the rain. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Looks like they need to borrow a comb. Cute shots!
That cardinal pic is so funny! I don't think he liked the shower.
I have to say that the cardinal does look less than impressed with the situation!
Spring for you, and the first of our "leaf curl" spiders - they hide in a leaf in the middle of their web - so its the first hint of autumn for me!
Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW.

Awe bless them all, for when they are drenched, it shows a whole to dimension to their personality! Sweetness!!
Even soaking wet, your birds are charming...and you nailed their "personalities" perfectly (in words and pictures!)

some beautiful visitors:-)
Oh my goodness. I actually laughed out loud when I saw the cardinal! Poor thing! :)
Wet or dry, birds are simply beautiful! You captured their personalities so well!
Cute shots! I've noticed that the birds always come to the feeders when it's raining.
Great shots, i really love this wet cardinal!
You are a fantastic bird photographer. Stunning photos and the first one is a real cutie. :))
Great shots! It's not easy to look good after a shower.
LOL on the indignant cardinal. Of course they always look to me like grumpy old men.. Love the springtime you are seeing.. Thanks for linking in and for the birthday wishes.. hugs.. Michelle
